G.I.R.L. Fund gifts fuel Girl Scouts’ staying power in Greater Los Angeles. By making a yearly gift to the G.I.R.L. Fund, you’re helping GSGLA empower young women to become future leaders! GSGLA invests $467* (per girl, per year) to provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Product sales, retail, and program fees bring in $418* (per girl, per year). That leaves a gap of $49 per girl. G.I.R.L. Fund gifts allow GSGLA to close this gap and provide the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to every girl. Plus, 100% of all donations stay within our council!
*Based on council’s operating budget to support 43,000 girls and 24,000 adult members.
Why is it important? Consistent giving allows GSGLA to confidently plan ahead for future initiatives for girls.
G.I.R.L. Fund donors get to choose where their money goes. And there are lots of incredible areas at GSGLA that need support! Give to the G.I.R.L. Fund and designate your gift to the area that is closest to your heart, like these!
As a thank you for gifts $25+, you receive the G.I.R.L. Fund patch — perfect for anyone who believes in EVERY G.I.R.L. (Go-Getter, Innovator, Risk Taker, Leader).

Sometimes we need to bring our girls and parents together as a troop and remind ourselves of why we joined Girl Scouts in the first place, to learn to be a sister to every Girl Scout. Click here and here for fun ideas to try and break down those walls!
